Slowdraw is run by Synergy. Using it means you are fine with what follows. It is written to be read, not to be impressive.
There is no referee
This is the important one. Slowdraw keeps track of structure: whose turn it is, where each card sits, what changed and in what order. It does not know the rules of any card game and never will. Nothing stops you drawing eight cards or putting a creature somewhere it does not belong.
That is on purpose. It works the way a kitchen table works, and it means the two of you settle disagreements yourselves. Every action is written down in order, so when you disagree there is something to look at.
Your account
One account per person, and keep your email secure, because a link sent to your inbox is what gets you in. Anything done from your account is treated as done by you.
How to behave
Do not do these things:
- Harass, threaten or abuse the person on the other side of the table.
- Pretend to be someone else.
- Go looking for information the game is keeping from you, including anyone's hand or library order.
- Automate play, scrape the site, or hammer it with traffic it did not ask for.
- Try to get into an account or a game that is not yours.
Break those and we may suspend or remove your account. We would rather write to you first, and usually will, but nothing obliges us to.
What you put here
Your decks, your handle, your bio and your messages stay yours. By putting them here you let us store them and show them to the people who are meant to see them, which for the most part means the players at your table. You are responsible for what you type.
The games themselves
Slowdraw is not connected to any game publisher and is not endorsed by one. Game names appear here only to say which game a deck or a table is for. Card names and card images come from Scryfall, and the images are loaded from Scryfall rather than copied here.
It is free, and it can break
There is nothing to pay. In exchange, the service comes as it is, with no promise that it will be available, that a game will be preserved, or that anything will work on a given day. We may change it, take parts away, or shut it down. If we shut it down for good, we will give you notice and a way to take your data with you.
To the extent the law allows it, Synergy is not liable for anything you lose by using Slowdraw, including a game, a deck or a record you cared about.
Which law applies
Synergy is registered in Washington State, in the United States, so Washington law governs these terms. If something ever has to be settled in court, it belongs in a Washington one. None of that takes away a right your own local law gives you and does not let you sign away.
When these change
The date at the top moves. If a change matters to how you use the site, we will email you rather than let you find it.
